Gas Prices: America Pays for Instability at the Pump
Libya's current battle for freedom is being placed in a category of intemperate, yet extremely veiled threats that much of America may not fully realize, as consumers feel the squeeze in prices of everything from plastics to petrol here at home.
The fact is that every time there is discord or instability fulminated most anywhere on the planet, the pinch on consumers begins in nearly every national market tied to international organizations such as the United Nations or World Bank.
This should begin to expose the truly destructive nature of the global concept as it pertains to markets and The New World Order; the latter having been spoken of by George Bush Sr., Bill Clinton, and most recently by President Barack Obama during the G-20 Summit in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
What is most important is that these consumer price increases teach people to fear instability much more than they should. And often, it actually creates various levels of animosity toward other nations' fight for the same freedoms that Americans now enjoy due to this country's successful battle to gain emancipation from oppressive rule over 200 years ago.
The problem is that few politicians are doing anything to prevent the scourge of global financial instability, and in fact can be proven to have cultivated it during the run up to the 2008-09 economic meltdown that touched nearly every nation on the globe in nearly identical fashion.
Government, for the large part is refusing to take any action to curb the inflation that is ensuing as a result of various occurrences around the globe, with the exception of Ben Bernanke pretending that his scurrilous love of inflation and interest rate manipulation - at the hands of the printing press that has the Fed Reserve acting like a helicopter that flies by sending free fiat currency in every direction - is a sustainable strategy.
Well, that is if the direction is toward a Big Central Bank that can use the money at a discount after borrowing it form the Fed Res who loans it at the price it costs to print it. Of course the trickle down method that eventually lands a C-note worth about $8 in the hands of the final recipient...the poor lowly consumer that is the backbone of the economy, merely gives a shot of steroids to the inflation.
The government will not even authorize the use of a small, less than 1% portion of one oil reserve to do anything for the American people, who by the way, are losing ground daily in the still-declining market.
Republican representative Fred Upton of Michigan, Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, say's that the petroleum reserves must remain untouched, only to be tapped in the event that there is severe disruption in supply, or some other emergency.
He also opposes selling a mere .oo688 percent of the oil that is now in just one of the reserves in Texas, which would ease the deficit by a whopping $500 million.
The Strategic Petroleum Reserve on Bryan Mound in Freeport Tex. is currently filled to the capacity of 727 million barrels of oil, and at current prices it would require the sale of only 5 million barrels of the crude to reduce the budget by the hefty sum (The New York Times; Calls Mount to tap U.S. Oil Reserves)
This lack of action is just one more indication of the "state of emergency" this government intends to operate under, and employ as a fear tactic to excuse lethargy, incompetence and indecision. Or, maybe they would prefer people assume a more implicit connection to actions which appear to smack of conspiratorial complicity.
The egregiously latent execution of office that the Obama administration is becoming famous for is more than clearly an intentionally preposterous procrastination that is indefensible.
For nearly every reasonable action the current government could take, they are incessant of blathering on about some unreasonable excuse of why they won't. They pontificate like sedentary sophists who's primary goal is to abuse their position in an effort to cultivate various levels of support that can be manipulated accordingly on some later date.
The incessantly unethical realms that these legislators are entering, while simultaneously deceiving the public into believing they are necessary arenas of security that must be adhered to, are clear indications that the current pestilence of politics is the primary criminality driving this nation into wars and poverty.
Do these official orators truly expect the American people to believe that there is no alternative energy capable of supporting the nation in time of emergency? Do they expect that simply claiming that it is in the nation's best interests, is reason enough to ban nearly all oil production and refinement in the United States, and also refuse to tap reserves for such a small amount during the current skyrocketing cost of oil, and its resultant cost at the pump?
The only thing the current speculative oil bubble is meant to guarantee is the established power structure that is just as illegitimate as the Mohammar Gadhafi debacle that President Barack Obama currently has no other choice but to excoriate and demand be removed immediately.
Upton went on to say "With the growing instability in Africa and the Middle East and oil prices now exceeding $100 a barrel, it would be careless to tap the reserves for anything other than intended."
So, is he speaking of just the Bryan Mound reserves, or does he also believe that such a market should be ignored for its ability to enrich of this nation's citizens who could benefit from the jobs and revenues created by drilling right here in America?
Since the establishment of the Bryan Mound reserve in 1973, following the OPEC oil embargo, it has been used for various emergencies. The last one was in 2005 during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and it has already been refilled to capacity.
However, Bill Clinton actually used it to ease oil prices in 2000, which stemmed from market instability believed to have been caused by tensions between Iraq and Kuwait.
Allegedly the Republicans accused the Clinton administration of showing bias toward the people's needs, saying it was a ploy to garner support for Vice President Al Gores presidential bid.
This shows that much of what is transpiring today is just more partisan politicking at the peoples' expense.
Regardless of why Clinton decided to help the American people in their time of need, the fact is that he did. If his actions somehow endeared him to the majority, this is natural. For conservatives to sully such action by politicizing it in a show of contempt for the nation, is a disturbing trend that clearly exposes the true meaning of "partisan politics".
For Liberals and Conservatives to disagree is a divine and necessary function. However, when they egregiously deceive the voters, and toss them on the battle field like cannon fodder in their war with the opposition, they become entirely illegitimate in their actions, and unworthy of their position.
What is remarkable is that the politicians - notably not businessmen - also claim that because the change in gas prices were moderate when reserves were used to ease the market, that this indicates should any action be taken now, it would be pointless. Nice excuse, folks.
However, the fact is that the reserves were only used to interject upon the international market. They were never used as actual reserves for this nation, who's tax payers paid for them to be reserved, and thus should be the first recipients of their use, not Corporations and international suppliers.
Sure, this action would quickly tighten the belts on a majority of the suppliers in this nation, and start a chain reaction which would prove the power of the American market over and above the global spectrum, but that would be a good thing. However, only for the average citizens, and therein lies the crux of my argument.
One would be wise to ask just why the government would not want to begin such a trend. And they would also be wise to consider that should this occur, the true implications of America's dependence on foreign oil would prove to be anything but what a majority of the nation is led to believe.
The competition that would ensue at lighting speed here in the American market would clearly show the true power of the national economy, in contrast with the manipulated strain placed upon this nation's sovereign citizens by the global market structure.
It would also likely cause the average citizens of this nation to begin demanding that the global web, now tying this nation's every move to both natural and contrived emergencies around the world, be quickly deconstructed, as it is obvious that it is far too detached from the power of the people here at home. The satellite invasion currently occurring, should certainly be cause to sound the alarm in Washington and the many States.
However, it appears to be nothing more than business as usual for those in the Beltway.

Serious bout this, Obama has boast the project of wind power and solar for a win future.
As this won't last long for a oil source, look for a new solution now is much urgent.
