Libya Not "Mess" like Iraq or Afghanistan
In an article from the Associated Press titled "Gadhafi pushes ahead as Arab League calls for help", sources report that the U.S. and many allies are voicing "deep reservations" about the effectiveness of a no-fly zone, and the possibility that it could "drag them into another messy conflict in the Muslim world."
This has go to be one of the most disingenuous and impudent statements to have been articulated since the beginning of the Libya crisis.
Just what country was "dragged into" a messy conflict in any part of the world in the last ten years? It is well known that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were pre-emptive strikes that were instigated under extremely dubious circumstances and shoddy evidence at best.
That they were "messy" should certainly have been expected since the warnings of implications were well voiced, and furthermore, a vast portion of the American population was against the invasions of these sovereign nations.
How does this current international cadre of morons reconcile with the fact that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were such that the alleged enemy combatants were largely unknown, and there was little if any intelligence that could clearly define either the localized aggression or its insurgent counterparts.
For crying out loud, the first rule, and most important strategic factor, in any conflict is to "know your enemy". How do the military advisors engaged in the current strategy sessions reconcile with the fact that they are attempting to argue apples and oranges with blatant displays of utter incompetence.
This current administration is an embarrassment to everything this nation stands for. A 5th grader could do a better job with a proficiency in the board game Risk and a Battleship peg board to work with.
The fact is that the conflict in Libya is clearly demarcated and defined. Furthermore, of the two sides, Gadhafi (or Qaddafi, whatever that moron's name is) is centrally positioned with a veritable target painted on his forehead.
There are very few air fields, and the fighter jets that are the source of all of the contention are, as far as can be determined at this juncture, only being deployed from one location. The fact is that simply one mission of "shock and awe" would stop the clearly out matched forces of Gadhafi dead in its tracks.
The lame arguments being proffered by the lethargic and inconsistent buffoons advising in this debacle are going to haunt them for decades. This is truly ridiculous and more than proves that the crisis is being allowed to progress simply for the fact that those who are grousing will use it as a precedent and/or precursor for a later illegitimate engagement that they are already planning.
The Arab League is currently asking the U.N. Security Council to impose a no-fly zone and showing clear support for intervention in the matter.
For the international community to still be pretending that the lines are too blurry to decide a course of action is literally indefensible. This isn't rocket science.
Truly, it was much more complicated deciding to allow Qaddafi the ability to take over the air force base deserted by Brittan back in the 70s than it is deciding to now cripple it in order to stop this treasonous tyrant from engaging his people in clear violation of nearly every law governing the actions of a legitimate government.
This latest display of apathetic inaction certainly causes one to wonder if the more developed nations are not pushing the subject in anticipation of a coming crisis that will find Americans in a civil war. As bad as this is to consider, there are few things that come to mind which are less realistic considering the implications...causes the blood to boil when one considers that the New World Order has its latest presidential spokesperson in the White House, and the attack on American sovereignty is finding far too many insubordinate public employees converging like traitors on Wisconsin's state capitol.
The analytical methodology necessary to completely dissect this current level of protraction certainly will be fully applied once this author has the time. Personal engagements may be diverting attention from the mess for a short while, but will be fully fired up as the weeks progress.
The people of Libya have every ability to remove Gadhafi from power. However, the fact that other countries supplied him with the ability to mount such a destructive opposition to a majority of the nation demanding his ouster, has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the people won this battle long ago.
It is time to quit posturing like self-centered hacks who appear to be pretending that the writing on the wall was not entirely clear from the very beginning, exacerbating the situation beyond reason in some juvenile attempt to prove those who revealed the coming events, to be less than capable.
The fordecast of Libya's operational climate was meant for two things only. One was to determine if the powers that be would stoop to this level. As for the other, that is for the memoirs
Face it folks...been had!
