First and foremost is the need to completely disabuse humanity of the notion that simply employing an equal measure of various ethnicities in a workplace has satisfied the requirement for diversity.

The very real fact is that a racially diverse environment can still be harangued with a sterilized, mono-elective mentality, wherein its members are all driven by identical, social and personal perceptions, and therefore divest of any true objectivity.

Far too few of today's communities and corporations are in any way attempting to create the open debate and conflict of ideas that allows the individual to proliferate. But, are intstead demanding that citizens agree to agree - or complacently agree to disagree - thus cultivating the antithesis of the "win-win", and securing a subjugate mentality of compromise that is almost always a "lose-lose".

The true power of diversity is in respecting one's self, and thereby others. To the extent that all contributions to the fray are held in equal regard, and no person ever has the right to demand another be silenced.

Regardless of anyone's point of view, silence only guarantees that repression exists as the primary force of distinction.
