Sherrod Calls For "Togetherness", But Considers Suing Breitbart
Now Shirley Sherrod, reminiscing over her forced removal from the USDA, and summary reinstatement following a flap about her possible racial bias, is quoted as saying that she needs a “little down time to reflect on what’s happened the last few days”. She say’s that she does not want to be the fall girl for discrimination in the Department of Agriculture. She further opined that she would like to help the Obama administration “promote togetherness in this country.” However, almost in the same breath Sherrod say’s she is considering suing Breitbart for “defamation” simply because he posted a video of her exuding bigoted sentiments to an audience at the NAACP. She shows absolutely no compunction whatever as regards the obvious racial bias heard among the audience in the video. In fact, she does not even mention its occurrence. She acts as if the only wrong that was perpetrated was the posting of the video by Breitbart, who is accused of purposely clipping the video so as to make Sherrod appear racist. When the fact is that the website he posted it on also gave visitors an opportunity to view the entire video. She say’s nothing of the fact that the Obama administration and officials at the USDA may have acted too quickly, and without taking the time to fully inform themselves. The article also makes no mention of the fact that the Tea Party movement has been attacked in even worse ways than Sherrod, and with intentionally deceptive accusations which have proven to be utterly false.
