THE REAL SEAN HANNITY

Sean Hannity, author, politician and talk show host is a complex person who walks in the shadow of the entertainment industry and therefore must attempt to evade the pervasive and invasive intellectual mind with bombastic self efficacy.

However, regardless of how narcissistic one may appear to be, this personality trait is completely irrelevant in the existential sense, the only thing that is important is whether or not one possess an objective ability to see the world as it is, absent any self assembled preemption of the facts.

Hannity does not appear to be one who should ever be trusted to make any real decisions in this society or any other. Moreover, his fear will always control him.

Regardless of the fact that Hannity has learned to somewhat eloquently vociferate a benignly variant degree of holistic Americana, he is actually rather narrow-minded, and patently opposed to a great many basic American ideals. In reality, Hannity’s neo-conservative jargon is comprised mainly of tactical speech aimed at superimposing a style of economic ideology onto various patriotic fundamentals by employing interpretations which amalgamate them according to basic survival mechanisms. Therefore, he can appear rather convincingly contemporary in this current atmosphere of anachronistic uncertainty. That is, of course, unless one is able to intellectually permeate the façade.

What is remarkable is his ability to disparage much of the events now occurring in the United States -- whether justifiable or not -- but cannot bring himself to comment with even the slightest objectivity on some of the most obvious failings of Israel or Israeli policy.

Regardless of who Hannity answers to, the fact is that he often exposes an exceptional propensity for deceit. Unfortunately, this proves him to be entirely untrustworthy, and therefore completely incapable of the critical intuition necessary to influence constructive progress in this nation.

It is certainly a pity, because, if the truth be told, I am rather fond of the man. Hannity would be a great benefit to this nation if he were actually worth his salt.

Case in point; a man called into Hannity’s radio talk show on Friday June 25th, and politely informed him he was disappointed that Hannity showed a bit too much biased obsequiousness, often referring to Israel as “Americas greatest ally” and refusing to admit any inequities. The caller pointed out that it was Israeli fighter jets which bombed the U.S.S Liberty and killed American sailors, and that nearly all, if not all, those aboard the vessel claimed it was an obviously intentional act.

However, Hannity would not even consider the man’s statements as objectively inquisitive and instead began insinuating that the caller was a “conspiracy theorist.” The sober disappointment could be heard in the caller’s voice as he respectfully requested that Hannity just research the incident.

Of course, Hannity could not let it go at that, and simply respect the caller’s obvious air of bereavement. No, Hannity had to go on record sounding like just one more dutiful talking head, bobbing to the deep throat beat of some shadow master. It was repugnant to hear Hannity claim that he had researched the incident thoroughly and decided that the official reports claiming the deadly strike to be merely a case of mistaken identity were unquestionably legitimate. He almost sounded sincere.

Given the fact that many brave and loyal American souls were pointlessly snuffed out that day, it was nauseating to listen to such an obviously intelligent man essentially denigrate himself and this nation with such preposterously pragmatic pacification.

If I were the consummate conspiracy crackpot I would, at this very moment, be sarcastically congratulating him on his position as propaganda czar for the new socialist dictatorship.

Even more astonishing is the fact that Hannity himself professes to be a pessimist at heart. Except that this appears only reserved to those things that affect his own personal gains.

On the radio talk show he said “I always imagine the worst case scenario when I am buying something big.” so that if the worst happens I am not in over my head.

This comment was in response to a caller who voiced her concern over possibly not being able to afford the projected retirement plans she and her husband had of purchasing a motor home and touring the country. Basically due to the fact that she was worried that gasoline would be too expensive after the BP disaster and resulting Obama policies, and that inflation would drive much of the rest of such a lifestyle beyond their budget.

While it is true that financial advice is best given with an extremely pragmatic measure of sobriety, Hannity appears to enjoy this approach far too much, and often sounds even more aloof than he often accuses his arch nemesis Obama of being.

However, another oddity that becomes apparent when digging deep into the mind of Hannity, is that his professed hatred of Obama has very little to do with Obama’s disdain for this county’s founding principles and Constitution. The fact is that Hannity views the U.S. Constitution to be just as much of an obstacle in this world as Obama does, he merely has opposing viewpoints as to why.

Hannity has no problem at all mixing Church and State, and often attempts to insert religiosity into this nation’s foundation.

He even had the gall to say on national radio that “America was founded on Judeo Christian values and morality”, regardless of the fact that this is patently false, and the framers of the Constitution expressly denounced any such notion.

Hannity appears to be one of those extremists who will claim that simply because those who penned the Constitution employed common terms such as “the year of our lord” when writing the date that somehow this, and other benign references, proves that the founding fathers unequivocally considered this nation some divine creation of the Christian/Jewish god.

This is as ridiculous an analogy as those who claim that atheists who say “Jesus Christ!” or “god dam it!” as a form of exasperation, actually believe in god or else they wouldn’t say it. As a person who would never go so far as to pretend the identity of a god, the many precocious and slanted statements like this, by religious followers who cannot accept those who do not consign to their fantasy, have done nothing more than further expose themselves as complacently nascent hypocrites to be avoided and mistrusted.

In defense of those losing their livelihoods to the latest black sludge washing ashore in the BP Gulf disaster, Hannity, with sanctimonious platitude, say’s “Jesus chose fisherman because they are the most important people in the society…because they feed us!”

Again, Hannity shows his lack of ability to see even one molecule of the actual world around him without assigning some predisposed ideology to effect his opinion concerning it. This practice is common among the species, however, it is anything but inherent.

There are plenty of people who are either vegetarians or vegans and never eat fish. There are also plenty of people in this world who do not believe in killing other animate living things on this planet. So just why does Hannity claim that his religion is “moral”? Furthermore, why does he expect that his religion is right, and that of other extremists are wrong? The truth is that Christianity murdered hundreds of millions of people on this planet, and did so rather brutally. In fact, monotheism is the number one killer in human history, both directly, and when one understands that monotheism takes credit for natural disasters, disease, accidents and so on, indirectly as well.

So many monotheists love to speak of morality, and Hannity is no different from the majority of them who also love to speak of “holy murder.” It is certainly disturbing just how fond Hannity is of death and destruction. He appears to be unreasonably misguided in this respect, either by his blind religiosity or his lack of equative reasoning.

Hannity supports the death penalty, and like so many of his colleagues on KSFO radio talk shows, would love to kill a great many people they despise. Everyone from Melissa Huckaby to Ahmadinejad. These people simply are too ignorant to engage a more logical equation, and instead languish in attempts to mitigate or change the solution.

Hannity is the type of person who will never see beyond the surface. Not because of a myopic condition, but simply because he does not possess the ability to recreate the model in his mind absent his own reflection.

Hannity is the type of pseudo individual who only wants from America what its freedoms can afford. He does not intend to invest in this nation, but rather expects to profit from it. One must understand that an investment is not that which ever expects a return. An investment is merely a contribution that requests involvement.

Hannity does not expect to walk away from the game with nothing. In fact he wouldn’t dream of it. And this is why he is a poor example for those in this nation seeking to involve themselves in the efforts that are required to pull it out of the gutter it has been dragged into.

Our time is up, and this analogy must end for now, but the examination is in no way complete.

Until our next session…

It’s a film called Hungry for You and it’s in pre-production now. I play the lead vampire. I didn’t want to be a vampire but was forced into it so I’m struggling with my vampire powers and not wanting to turn the girl I love into a vampire. The script is really great and has a wonderful storyline. It’s been fun. The creator, Linda Andersson, has a really cool comic strip of Hungry for You that she is going to release soon. It’s sort of a teaser and a way to start the marketing for the project in a bigger level.
