Arizona, Allen, Preserving National Sovereignty One State At A Time

Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen, a legislator who voted for SB1070 -- the sun scorched state’s bill that is being mislabeled an immigration bill -- is one elected official who obviously takes great pride in her position, and care in her management of the affairs of her constituents.

She certainly exudes the portentous spirit of this nation’s auspicious founding documents when in clear and simple language she states “Living in America is not a right simply because you walk across the border. Being an American is a responsibility. Freedom is not free.” And this author could not agree more emphatically with her assertions.

It is rarely easy to make a stand like the one being made in Arizona, and each and every one of that state's courageous legislators should be commended for their indefatigable dedication to the nation.

Allen has every reason to support the new legislation recently signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, if for no other reason than it is fiscally responsible and critical to the sovereignty of the nation who’s constitution she has vowed to uphold and defend.

However, the fact is that Senator Allen is all too familiar with the astonishing levels of crime, drugs and depravity that is crossing the borders into Arizona, and it is growing daily because the federal government appears unwilling to address the issue that America is one of the easiest countries to immigrate to, and yet it is full of illegal aliens who are now attempting to riotously force the government to ignore the fact that they are here illegally, and just allow them to overrun the nation in whatever manner they feel is warranted.

Unfortunately very few, if any, of these undocumented aliens can recite even one of the articles or amendments in the United States Constitution, and as far as this author's experience, are typically irritated by the mention of this most precious founding document; a document of freedom that any truly honorable and informed American lives and breathes because it is the basis for that which protects and sustains this beautiful nation.

Not to mention the fact that many of the elusive border crossers from Mexico have no intention of truly assimilating into the United States population, but are only here for the jobs.

In an article written by Senator Allen she tells of her attendance at a hearing on the issue of this illegal invasion (not to be confused with "immigration") and the testimony of several of the participating local residents.

The alarming fact is that Arizona residents who live within 80 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border have been terrorized by Mexican drug cartels and human traffickers for years.

One rancher testified in a hearing that 300 to 1,200 people cross his ranch every day, vandalizing his property, stealing his vehicles, cutting down his fences and leaving refuse around the area. He also testified that in the last two years, he has found 17 bodies and, even more disturbing, several copies of the Quran.

Another rancher testified that drugs are brought across his ranch in military-style operations, with heavily armed guards. A point man with a machine gun goes in front, a half-mile behind are the fully armed guards, a half-mile behind them are the drugs, and behind the drugs are more guards.

Furthermore, this was only one of the many ranchers who testified about similar “drug trains.”

Another man told of two illegal aliens who were shot, one in the back and one in the arm. They said that drug runners forced them to carry drugs across the border and then shot them.

Many local citizens hear gunfire at night and are afraid to leave their homes for fear of what the drug smugglers will do to them or their families.

According to the article by Allen, there is no border patrol presence in that area, but instead they are set up over 60 miles away with checkpoints that do nothing to stop the invasion. Furthermore, the officers are not allowed to use force in preventing anyone from entering the country illegally.

This author agrees with Allen wholeheartedly when she say’s “The national media do not report on these stories because it conflicts with their perception of the illegal immigration issue, which is based on an assumption that all illegal immigrants are law-abiding landscapers and day laborers.” Further opining “while this is true in many cases, it is also true that our federal and state prisons and county jails are full of a disproportionate number of illegal immigrants who are committing a disproportionate number of crimes.”

The Obama administration, and many before it, has refused to do anything truly substantive to help the border states, and they are being overrun by illegal aliens who are a further burden on the state budget as states such as Arizona struggle to pay for the services that they use. And of course, if they are undocumented aliens then there are no allocated funds being provided by the federal government in order to account for the influx.

Arizona, with a $3.5 billion state budget deficit is put in a very difficult position, and literally has had no choice but to admit that it does not have the money to support illegal aliens.

There is no reason why the borders cannot be secured, and there is every reason to require that those who intend to immigrate to this country do it in an organized and legal manner.

This is a very special country, with a very unique set of rights and responsibilities outlined for its citizens, and to allow anyone to live and work in this country without first educating them on these rights and responsibilities is ludicrous and ridiculously irresponsible.

Senator Allen goes on to state “The national media has distorted, disfigured and dismembered Senate Bill 1070 to the point that its reputation no longer bears any resemblance to what the bill actually does. Those who claim it is racist, or will foster a Nazi-state are themselves fostering unwarranted and irrational hysteria. The fact is that (the bill) merely makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally. It also explicitly prohibits law enforcement officials from solely considering race, color, or national origin in determining immigration status.”

The only issue I and the senator differ on is amnesty for illegal aliens. And only in the manner that I do not believe that those who are here illegally should just be allowed to remain here without first being required to pass all of the tests and background checks they would have been subject to initially.

Allen say’s “many law makers who supported (the bill), including me, also support amnesty, but not until we secure the border. Failing to secure the border just moves us closer to some form of a North American Union (NAU) with no borders and no national sovereignty. Many of those protesting SB1070 have called for just that.”

The factbat website would like to be one of what are many informed Americans who applaud Senator Allen for having the courage to address the issue of the NAU which was very secretively proposed and almost forced on the United States Voters.

What must be understood is that the nation of Mexico is one of the most corrupt nations in the world, and the United States Government has absolutely no right whatever to be attempting to bring that level of corruption into this nation.

The fact that the California State Government is openly calling for the boycott of Arizona is one of the most seditious and blatantly unconstitutionally oppressive acts this author can think of at the moment, and those who are calling for this action should be ashamed of themselves.
