Fighting Obesity Epidemic Requires Trimming Corporate Fat (Volume 1)
This is an article which was first posted on this site on June 8, 2009, and has been re-posted this year in an effort to further the efforts of those who are proposing to educate the nation on what are healthy habits.
It is also an effort to raise the level of debate to a conversation which truly assesses the Health Care crisis gripping this society - and in some ways its economy. Health Care costs go hand-in-hand with the health of the people in this country, and to simply respond to rising costs with knee jerk reactions of socialized, government contol and bureaucratic intrusion rather than focusing on the core issues, is nothing short of an attack on the heart of the nation.
It is critical that the social structure of this nation disabuse itself of the incessent corporate manipulation and authoritarian government misfeasance which proposes nothing more than ignorance, deriliction, incompetence, dietary obfuscation and unsustainable solutions. While simultaneously ignoring the logical equations - which threaten the power structure in that focus on these equations will naturally level the playing field.
Moreover, the most alarming facet of this destructive trend is the fact that those who are making much of the leadership decisions in this nation clearly have no idea what the hell they are doing.
Below is the article which was originally titled "Weight Loss; More Than Excercise."
While it is a fact that exercise burns calories, and then increases one’s proclivity to lose weight, the truth is that weight-loss is almost solely controlled by what we eat. Furthermore, the body requires much more than the appearance of an optimal height-weight ratio. Body chemistry and organ function, with respect to the avoidance of scar tissue and its debilitating effects, is also a top priority in maximizing the quality, and many times quantity, of one’s life.
What is incredible is that so many people in this nation truly intend to completely ignore one of the most basic parameters governing their overall health, welfare and longevity; the daily diet.
Of course, it is no wonder when one considers that the media in this nation is essentially controlled by corporate interests which use it for the sole purpose of viewer/consumer manipulation. It does not take a genius to understand that there is big money in the manufacture and delivery of food products within a society. Unfortunately, they learned quickly that the profit margin was directly connected to the volume of consumption, with value and quality requirements being consistently hard on the bottom line.
Therefore, companies had to devise various strategies aimed at convincing the public to eat the products which guarantee maximum profits, while at the same time minimizing losses. To do this they need products which possess an extended shelf life, while utilizing convenient low-cost packaging. What better way to accomplish this then to devise advertisements and national campaigns, complete with government influence and endorsements, which seek to misinform consumers with false claims which pretend to educate them on what are healthy dietary habits.
What must be understood is the fact that much of these advertisements and national campaigns are bald faced lies, and they are obviously employed for little else than the maximizing of profits. The food pyramid devised by the federal government intends to commit the entire populous to a truly indefensible structure which ignores much of the real data detailing the human body and its dietary requirements, and fits far too comfortably into the corporate food delivery schemes which depend on over-processed, unhealthy consumables. It also seems far too convenient that much of the claims by proponents of this regimen create an environment of consumption which leads much of the nation to believe that their daily diet requires one to resign their self to the acceptance that their food is bad for them, and the only way to minimize the artery clogging, body bloating corrosive effects from it is to take medications and excessively exercise.
The absolute fact is that if one’s food selections are determined to be either good or bad in concordance with volume, then they are choosing the wrong foods. If people were eating what the body requires, then the amounts consumed would be completely negligible. Regardless that this nation’s citizenry incessantly intends to argue the fact, this author empirically and decisively, has physically, time and again, proven it to be utterly true.
Furthermore, the belief that vegetarians and vegans are pasty, fragile creatures who wear hemp sandals and corn husks is an idiotic ploy used ad nauseam by those who merely intend to ignore and justify their destructive dietary choices which obsess on chosen palatability’s, and are tantamount to the pacification of a bawling infant. Moreover, the truth is that most vegetarians are not actually vegetarians at all, since they rarely actually eat the fresh, raw, vitalizing vegetables so critical to the human diet, and instead consume over-processed soy, corn, wheat and sugary products which intend to mimic the meats and dairy they are still so obsessed with. The truth is that most of the people who claim to be vegetarians and vegans, are merely just “non-meat-eaters”
The foods being sold in markets are those which the media has convince people are healthy and required by the body. In a Lucky’s market the other day, I was appalled to witness a Rachel Ray program being televised in the produce section which claimed that children require 4 to 5 servings of dairy a day, and that adults require 3 to 4. This claim intends to be supported by the levels of calcium alleged to be contained in milk, and the fact that the body requires a great deal of calcium to function properly. Unfortunately, one could imbibe more usable calcium by eating a cup of common soil than they can from bovine lactose. As well, a cow has three stomachs, and tolerates the udder’s offerings quite nicely; human’s do not. All bovine lactic products merely ferment and curdle in the human body, and they deliver a paltry amount of viable calcium to the flesh and bones.
What is imperative is the retention of calcium, and avoiding the foods which leech it out of the human body. Women are particularly susceptible to the effects of calcium robbing foods, since they exist in a constant state of readiness to nurture a fetus.
First of all, while much of the orange juice being sold in stores is infused with calcium, it contains excessive sugars which are adverse to human consumption. Anything over 6% merely ferments and turns to alcohol. If one truly intends to ingest their required calcium, it is best to get it from an avocado. As well, the vitamin C in OJ is rivaled, and even exceeded, by a Jalapeno pepper. What is imperative to retaining calcium in the body is ingesting the daily requirement of 70% oxygenating water foods which build the blood and fight the oxidizing effects of other acidic foods the body requires.
On the subject of consumable selections (I dare not call them foods) such as cheese, which is just curdled, rotten cow’s milk. The fact is that its artery clogging effects are nearly negligible when one considers that the many hormones, antibiotics, chemicals, genetically modified proteins, and putrefied poisons delivered via the diet of over 40% of cows who must subsist on their own feces in a fetid, cramped environment which does not allow them to reach the feed bin filled with GMO corn, remain in a concentrated form after the completion of the process which removes the moisture. Moreover, many of the companies who manufacture the cheeses add various anti-caking agents, colors and dyes, bacteria and salts which further exacerbate this product’s debilitating effects on the overall health of American consumers.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak, and this author fully intends to post further articles on this subject. It is despicable that food corporations endorsed by the government, in an effort to maximize profits, are hell bent on doing everything possible to maintain, and increase, the consumption of destructive “inedibles” in this country; and they will obviously lie, cheat, steal and kill to accomplish it.
