Homegrown Socialism Festering In America's Imperialistic Shadows

This is somewhat of a de facto retraction by the factbat website of support for the ANSWER Coalition in so much as this site has generally opposing views to those of socialists.

In assembling with members of ANSWER (Act Now To Stop War and End Racism), I found that much of the intent of the group is less for ending war and racism than for replacing Capitalism with Socialism.

In discussions on the topic of wars in the countries, and surrounding areas, of Afghanistan and Iraq the main grievances were that denial of Russian socialist ideals and intentions were only a ploy by capitalists who wanted to bolster American colonialism and imperialism in the various regions influenced by Russia.

Unfortunately none of the members in the group care to hear about the many failures of socialism in Russia, or the fact that in the 1930s Stalin murdered over 25 million Kulaks (Russian peasants) for his own greedy exploits.

Too often those who find reason to be dissatisfied with their current disposition expect that merely changing the system will bring better results. However, this strategy often tends to ignore the reality that many systems are viable and at the same time corruptible if the intended structure is not created with infallible proof logic equations.

The ANSWER group truly intends to sell an ideology which expects the government to control the system. To witness, in such close proximity, various strategies such as group involvement and intolerance for my dissenting voice was quite unsettling.

Much of the tactics this group is employing have been implemented consistently amid myriad groups and parties which intend to bolster support by creating a group consciousness under the guise of respecting autonomy.

As well, the walls of the room where I met with the group were strewn with posters of Che Guevara, red symbolism and “socialism” edifices. Which, while I have no actual feelings for or against such symbolism, I do recognize that revolt is certainly revolting and revolution is typically mislabeled as a stand for freedom. When in truth, it is typically an ignorance of the fact that one has allowed their freedom to erode to the point where they are frustrated enough that they see no other option but to revolt.

This author believes whole-heartedly in seeking sober reform by daily taking action to effect true change, and thus progress, and to diligently remain true to proper mechanisms which require that one consistently choose alternatives to that which supports and contributes to that which one deems unacceptable. This is a concept few in the world truly consign to, or understand.

It is time to understand that just because one system may be faltering or festering in denial and despotism does not then legitimize an alternate system by default.

Capitalism, with its free markets, is a tremendously viable structure which can create wealth, health, prosperity and autonomy for a vast amount of this world's peoples, and attempting to indict those who engage in it as propagators of imperialism and oppression across the planet is merely ignorant of the fact that nearly any structure can exist equitably, the only question is does the government control the people, or do the people -- responsible, accountable, principled and informed -- control their government.

As time is of the essence, this article will be expounded upon shortly…factbat.
