When considering the proposition of Universal Health Care, which would require that all Americans be covered under some type of health insurance, it is wise to assume that a policy this pervasive and dictatorial is going to also carry many risks to those who may desire to opt out of certain portions of health care coverage, or those who may not want any coverage at all.

The truth is that there are some people who do not ever visit a doctor, and instead prefer to spend their time and money preventing disease and various easily avoidable maladies that many other people are incessant of causing and exacerbating within and without their bodies.

It is highly unlikely that these people will be offered an amalgamated policy simply for quick emergency care if they are injured. This means that healthy people who practice safe behaviors and prevention will be paying for the canards of irresponsible and rash individuals who get sick or hurt often merely because they do not take care of themselves.

There are also risks to those who do desire, or even require, significant levels of health care coverage. To offer affordable coverage for all Americans will be accomplished by volume and will engender a system of common purpose where clients will then be paying for coverage they either do not need or do not want.

If this nation is to embrace Universal Health Care, all recipients then place themselves under an umbrella of policies that will begin to dictate various preventive medicines and vaccines that may not be acceptable to many people. This type of invasive environment sets up an incredibly dictatorial system which could easily lay the groundwork for some rather sinister exploits employed by those with a proclivity to control people for more than just profit, but possibly even exclusionary reasons.

Methods of quality and cost control will become increasinly disingenuous amid the likelihood that people will not be allowed much choices.

Universal Health Care coverage would also allow various providers to gain increased levels of control over government decisions and legislation concerning overall health practices in the nation. While this could typically be a very good thing, the problem is that these companies' main objectives are always to increase profits.

Even if regulations are placed on the industry which intend to prevent excessive compensation or cap fees, this will invariably lead to more government corruption as the hand washing merely sinks below the table.

Requiring that all Americans be covered by some type of health care insurance creates an environment where socialized health care is sold under a type of regulated nationalization of private monopolies, and brings with it contorted levels of supply and demand that much of the nation may very well be unhappy with as the ball begins to gain momentum.

The only reason the Universal Health Care coverage system appears viable to those who are in favor of it is because it allegedly will lower the cost of coverage to the consumer. However, as many in this nation full well know, the pitfalls of HMO's and their control over providers of large plans saw millions of Americans misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed because various management officials began to dictate to the medical professionals just what tests they could, and could not, perform. These policies were initially sold to the providers as a way to prevent fraud perpetrated by unscrupulous doctors and hospitals which would run unecessary tests, often expensive, merely to then charge the insurance company the cost.

Fraud in the industry is avoidable, but it will only begin to abrogate when this nation understands that profit cannot be contingent on lack of transparency in any product or service. Secrecy by the producer will always breed deception for the consumer.

Not to be understated as well, are the possibilities that Universal Health Care then could easily become one more tool for nefarious Eugenics minded agencies and entities to use in demanding that the entire population be subjected to various forms of medical measures that are questionable, but have been approved by those who will profit from proposed decreases in disease or injuries. The fact is that prevention could become a subjugated misprognosis engendering incredible levels of duplicitous canards reaching out among a plethora of business intersts seeking to profit from the newest requirement to be implemented across the nation, in the interest of safety or Universal Health, and there are definitely some rather powerful foundations and groups which would love take advantage of this new "market" of death and destruction snuck in under the guise of decreased costs to providers.
