Iranian, U.S. Relations: Bridging the Gap
The relationship between America and Iran must be reformed and mitigated to engender, and even embody, a more tolerant and delineable peace reflective of diplomatically induced pragmatism, while at the same time respecting the theocratic role of governance largely opted for in that country.
While it may very well be true that religious involvement in governmental affairs can easily create extremist ideologies, and disregard for the rule of law and personal liberties, no intervening nation of another, whether those being intervened upon are demonstrably oppressive among themselves or remonstrantly insolent toward their neighbors, can risk defamation of their own ideals and dispositions by attempting to force policies upon them, or demand that they desist legal activities which are at the same time being employed, and even abused and misused, by their neighbors.
Does the United States truly intend to justify various forms of force upon Iran, while at the same time allowing and even enabling Israel to literally destroy its neighbors in Gaza with internationally sanctioned warfare techniques and weapons, such as Phosphor bombs and Depleted Uranium munitions, or intentional targeting of civilians?
Moreover, how can the United States list Iran as a sponsor of terrorism for its alleged backing of militant groups such as Hezbollah, or accuse Iran of aiding Shiite militias which at times targeted U.S. military personnel. When arms dealers from American soil, or others simply aiding U.S. interests, have sold weapons to countries, or groups, which then used those weapons against their own forces and allies?
When considering the embargoes and sanctions against Iran which have helped to weaken and destabilize that country to the point of furor and hatred against this entire nation, and many of those neighbors around them, one must consider that whatever fears of possible reprisal must first be weighed against the likelihoods of cooperation and gratitude elicited by fair and equitably concerted means.
There are many complaints from Iran which are quite obviously valid in the grand scheme of the veritable theatre of morbidity and balkanization which has not only been allowed to occur, but continue to incessantly be enabled and supported in that region, and any meaningful conversations or relations with Iran must first seek to imbibe and address as many of those complaints and concerns as are possible.
Argument is the spice of life, and all true nature of positive progress must first be forged in the white hot realm of verbal conflict. This truth also indelibly requires that all conversations must be fully exhausted within an equitable contemporary environment indicative of the needs and desires of all concerned, while at the same time prohibiting exclusionary tactics and spiteful unions which degrade communications to the eventuality of violence and militant behaviors.
Need is not synonymous with greed, nor is desire necessarily afflicted with obsession. If the many nations of this planet are truly to exist within equitable and peaceful realms, then all must be willing and worthy to meet among intercourse of due process and perennially symbiotic fluctuations.
This is just a small portion of what is needed in quelling the many violent and intolerant pyres raging throughout the world these days, and time is of the essence. However, this author intends to post as many insightful articles and blogs as his mind can be allowed to investigate and induce with respect to what congruant knowledge as can be researched and retained among the many efforts now being attempted.
Freedom and Liberty be favored for all.
