Dietary Advice from Oprah Winfrey? (edited repost)

Why on Earth would anybody take dietary advice from Oprah Winfrey, especially when she is attempting to sell a single dimension “cure-all” called the Acai Diet? Oprah is like a psychological yo-yo. It appears she is mostly addicted to the self gratifying feeling of rehabilitation, in her case…losing the weight and getting back into shape. However, why is she being touted as some sort of success story merely for infecting the rest of society with her disease?

What is truly incredible, in many ways, is the incessant denial by this society, enabled by protagonistic purveyers of pedantically prissy prosaic palatibility like Oprah Winfrey, of proper bodily requirements in the area of nutrition and sustenance; an "anti-Oprahesque" knowledge which is critical for the continued regeneration and healing of all portions of the human biological species. From the skin to the bones--and all of the organs that constantly need to be healed in order to prevent inert scar tissue from eventually causing them to fail--there are many long-term established abuses people refuse to address, or even regard as contestable, which are a part of an extremely pervasive illogical theatre of activity which is literally creating incrementally obtruded levels of inculpable suicide.

Truly, if anyone wants to learn from Oprah in the arena of obesity and weight loss, it would be very wise to concentrate on just what it is she does to get so fat. As far as anything she has to say in the many other areas of life she attempts to advise people on, I don’t care to watch her shows since…88?…well regardless, anyone, even miss decadent Oprah "I need my own magazine" Winfrey, who says to the 2008 Stanford graduating class “if it feels good do it”, and “if you hit a brick wall in life, it is telling you to change directions”, loses all veracity and legitimacy, and I could not in good conscience vouch for anything that lady says. If one hits a brick wall, they may very well need to knock a hole in it, or maybe even climb over it. But the very first thing one must do if "it feels good", is find out why, and just what might be the limits and liabilities.

One must eat for sustenance and healing, as far as the pleasure one expects from their food…get over it! What one will find then, is the very wise reality that palatability has much higher realms when one finally allows their tastes to return to normal. Much of peoples “delicious” foods are anything but, when one learns to listen to their body.
