Manipulating Reality...by stealing it.

Somebody said to me that he feels all thieves should suffer the same penalty…cut off their hand.

To that I reply, this would be a nation largely populated by people with two very "handy" stumps that they could then beat this guy in the head with.

So just who might this guy have been referring to? The thieves in the White House?…on Wall Street?…in the medical and pharmaceutical industry? The ones ripping people off in the name of the company they work for? Or just the one who stole his watch? And why would these people get to just have their hand cut off when many of them have pilfered money and lives from billions of people?

This guy was just a hater who does not realize that there are far too many people in this nation who steal for no other reason than that is the way much of the system works. Plus there are many people who just want back what is rightfully theirs. This is a nation largely based on the "sucker born every minute" economic structure, and "buy low, sell high" which predominantly seeks to rip people off…PERIOD! Far too many people are getting away with "murder" in this country; in an economic sense, and a literal sense. Far too many people come to the country for the prospects of personal wealth, and never give a care that they are considered citizens and required by their oath to protect and defend this nation with their actions on a daily basis.

In this guy's statement, which mirrors much of this nation's latently divisive viewpoint, the underbelly of American ideology rears its ugly head and attempts to, once again, alienate and marginalize people in an effort to appear superior. Theft is merely a solution of this pilfering society. Conversely, in a symbiotic society, it would be nearly non-existent.
