Dispelling the Myth: A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned

The saying “a penny saved is a penny earned” is obtuse and complacently negligent, and causes one to wonder why Benjamin Franklin would have said it, when it is most certain that he knew full well, the advice was false and destructive. The manipulative nature of the saying tends to belie a nefarious agenda.

If one works and receives a penny for their labor, then they own a penny which is in trade for what has already been spent by the persons time and effort, and therefore, is not savable. The pennies spent into the economy should be increasing the nation’s wealth on a whole, and allowing people to actually “save” AND “earn”. A penny earned is a penny of increased value, and if America’s currency is not increasing in value to the tune of about 2% per year, then this is a nation of slaves. Even if one is able to invest their depreciating penny and make a “profit”, this is still a falling profit governed by the Federal Reserve’s debased money supply, and no matter how rich some people become in this nation, it is ONLY at the expense of others…PERIOD!  The fact that economic ignorance has driven investments and production over-seas, is an indication of the fact that much of America has been duped into destroying their own country. It is not that the powerful and elite are killing this country, but that they are manipulating the public into doing it themselves; creating and appealing to their fears (good and bad ones), while referring to them as the “survival instinct”.

This nation was founded on the principles of individual freedom and liberty, and these principles are the basis for an ideology that posits prosperity for all citizens. However, this nation has turned into a “free for all” where it is boasted a person can become successful and wealthy, rather than being billed as the nation initially formed by the people of America; a cooperative, moral and largely pervasive prosperity for all.

The government and power elite (wannabe’s) in this nation are largely appealing to the individual greed of specific persons in an attempt to divide and conquer. They are using lotteries, debased currency, nefariously acquired debt and get-rich-quick schemes to hide the fact that this nation is being reduced to a den of thieves, building huge demoralizing webs and sucking the good people dry.

Freedom is a responsibility, and this nation must be held accountable. Far too many people want to have their decisions made for them because they desire a dictator or monarch rather than freedom. Many people want to be cared for and entertained rather than experience the fulfillment of personal sacrifice and due diligence required by “freedom’s” cooperative efforts; efforts that must be employed if America is to become the truly great, benevolent, and  prosperously sustainable world superpower these United States once aspired to be.
