For anyone still not convinced by Barrack Obama, to seek public office, just consider the many perks that he failed to mention. First of all, legislators get to propose and vote on their own salary increases, heck, the number of government employees now earning a six figure income has increased well over two thousand fold since the attacks of September 11. Moreover, no matter how many mistakes Congress makes, or how many millions of people they kill, they still get paid extremely well, and are never held accountable.

Still not convinced? Well, consider the possibility that you, or one of your friends, may be pulled over some night for speeding or drunk driving. The problem will magically disappear  with little more than a phone call to that Circuit Court judge you have in your pocket because you are aware of his dirty little secret of occasionally smoking crack with prostitutes.

Lost too much money at the Craps Table? No problem, there are literally thousands, if not millions, of dirty corporations and lobbyists who would just love to throw money at you in exchange for voting against that new “clean air and water” bill. Or helping them coerce the public into believing that the planet is falling apart because citizens use the billions of products sold by companies who poison the environment to manufacture them. Of course there is no need to mention that the only reason those corrupt companies are poisoning the planet is because you and your cohorts so exquisitely manipulate the entire economy.

Did I fail to mention that companies will fall all over themselves to name a building, major highway or stadium after you? And all it takes is a little arm twisting and back scratching to get that company those millions of tax dollars through subsidies. Who pays for it? Why, your idiotically trusting constituents, silly; and the best part…they don’t even realize you are robbing them blind and selling them into slavery.

Ever had that nasty neighbor who always complains about your wild parties that keep him up at night? Or that refuse burning that somehow leaves ash and smoke damage on his property? Just have him investigated, or harassed by the local police. If that fails to effectively silence him, you always have the option of introducing some new legislation that makes him appear to be a terrorist, or negates the complaint altogether by allowing, or convincing, the rest of the neighborhood do the same thing. This strategy can also be used to protect that new company you invested in, from protests and investigations initiated by the public and environmentalist groups.

So, you see, Barrack Obama was certainly correct in his statements which sought to recruit more hand pumping, baby kissing, lethargic traitors into the obese monstrosity known as “public service”. His only deception was that you will, most certainly, not have to give up that mansion or the expensive suits. The only thing it will cost you is your soul.
