Embrace the Humanity
The Earth is a living breathing mass of natural checks and balances, sublimely suffering the calamaties of mankind on a benevolently grand scale. It is certainly prudent to consider human's a rather fortunate inhabitant of such hospitality.
Absent of any religious beliefs, that is generally the way most people view the world around them and it is a respectable outlook indeed. But how many people take into consideration the likelihood that this planet relies, to a certain extent, on anthropogenic activity in order to proliferate on it's ever evolving journey through the Universe? It is generally understood that there are few things, if any, on this planet which occur for no reason whatsoever, and there is much evidence to support the notion that there is a vital purpose for everything around us, except, possibly the male nipple.
But seriously, what do the plant's and living creature's contribute to this planet in the grand scheme of things? What obligations are Earth's complex bio-species designed to fulfill? What appetite are the flourishing growths intended to nourish? And most importantly, where is the evidence indicating that there is anything humanity could ever do, within the realm of reality, to elicite from this planet anything more than a shrug? Whatever man can produce first must come from the planet and to the planet it will eventually return. Even simultaneously detonating the entire world's arsenal of nuclear weapons would merely cause the environment to be inhospitable to humans, the Earth has likely seen worse and would easily adapt.
This planet has experienced many expansions, collapses, collisions, revolutions and laps around the Universe during it's very long history, and the physical evidence unearthed by it's advanced civilization's has cast a great deal of illumination on the necessity for adaptation in this theatre of chaos.
To insinuate that anthropogenic activities are affecting geothermal variances to any significant degree is a ridiculous proposition. Evidence conclusively proves that global climate change is common and cyclic. The average global temperature has been rising and falling at relatively regular intervals for over 550 million years, while atmospheric CO2 levels were gradually decreasing from around 7000 ppm (parts per million) down to under 300 ppm, in a time when there were no humans on the planet to speak of.
Unfortunately there are many factors that add unnecessary tension and unfounded speculation to the already hot issue of global change. One of them is religion with it's many extreme and totalitarian concept's based on the destruction of all that is presently known. Not to be outdone are the many foundation's, scientists and legislators who narrow-mindedly attach themselve's to the belief that, as inhabitants of this planet, mankind is more of an invasion... a cancer...a virus. Such perverse and intolerant ignorance as this cannot possibly be expected to manifest even a shadow of true progress.
This is a planet of positive and negative, give and take, good and bad and all that mankind is able to realize claims a vital portion of the Universal cycle, to deny any of it is to eventually deny it all. While there is much room in this world for indiscretion's, there is not one molecule of space available for exploiting them.
While it may be true that all have sinned, such rhetoric fails to recognize the undeniable logic that all are truly righteous, any rejection of this knowledge is an attack on all humanity. Every person on the planet has the same basic needs, the same basic desires and nobody has the right to demonize these things for any reason. In the vast contemporary wasteland of guilt and shame lie the countless victims of "free will" who fail to realize it is merely a selection...easy way, or hard way. What most religious leaders do not realize is that the consistent stifling of human nature exacerbates the issue and eventually manifests a malignant deformity. If humanity is to ever significantly evolve, there must first be a realization that punishment is perversion and victory is failure, until such time this planet will remain a gracious host to death and destruction.
